The ancient Egyptians believed in many Gods. However, one deity ruled them all and that was Ra. Ra appeared as a man with a falcon head and traveled the underworld fighting Apophis to protect good. He was said to have created man with his tears. Every night, he merged in the underworld with Osiris, the God of the dead. Every morning, he traveled on Mandjet, his golden ship, bringing the sun with him. This fascinating story of ancient Egyptian culture provides many striking visual and storytelling opportunities. Imagine pyramid props on the field and the guard costuming that you could use. Did I mention that there’s a dance break in the closer? The first part of the show focuses on the creation of man, the second part of the show focuses on Ra’s golden ship “Mandjet”, and the last part of the show dives down and explores the underworld of Ra.
