The moment your drum major starts this show, our bodies go to sleep, our minds wake up, and the fantastic adventure begins! Pat Ballard’s “Mister Sandman” represents our minds waking up and entering dreamland. The intentional orchestration of layering in sections one by one, will give you a chance to portray the awakening musically and visually. Next, it’s time to have some fun with the Eurhythmics “Sweet Dreams”! This show's ballad, "Sleep" by Eric Whitacre, is a chance to take a break from the fun and enjoy some true rest. The program ends with our dreams going a little sideways and becoming a nightmare phase, with Metallica's “Enter Sandman” bringing an angular and aggressive finish to the show. You’ll hear the final chords get more and more intense until... the alarm clock sounds! It was all just a dream.
